Linen Closet Treasures Barrel Leg Vintage Jeans

6

Finding a pair of vintage barrel-leg jeans – cowboy style – is very rare. That’s why the Linen Closet Treasures Barrel Leg Vintage Jeans are categorized as a rare find on Etsy – and we snapped them up! We upgraded our wardrobe with these vintage jeans from Omavi Clothing Co., which boasted a wide-leg bottom. Thanks to the belt loops, we could wear them as loose or fit as we wanted, but the highlight was the amazing distressed worn design. Have you ever seen 14 zipper pockets on jeans? Neither had we! These have eight frontal pockets and six back pockets, of which just two don’t work. Pair them with a linen top or a solid blouse and turn heads.

Pros

  • We love the coastal cowboy style of these jeans.
  • They’re baggy and perfect for those looking for comfort-fit clothes.
  • They’re simple, elegant, and versatile.

Cons

  • The fit might be a bit too baggy for some people.

Oof, to be transported back to the groovy 1980s! We did that by simply donning the Spoon Vintage Store 1980s Kenzo Jeans, which come from the decade of decadence, the 1980s. Hailing from the able stable of fashion retailer Kenzo, these super-cool jeans feature a riotous jungle print. In fact, they feature practically every color under the sun! But that’s what’s so unique about these jeans and attracted us to them in the first place. Available in a size XS/S, these jeans are made from 98% cotton and 2% lycra. This meant that they were not only breathable and could be worn in any season, but they were also stretchable. The best bit? They were in a very good condition.

  • The jeans are very comfortable and stretchable.
  • The design is very unique.
  • Even though they’re vintage, they’re in great condition.

How To Choose The Best Etsy Vintage Jeans?

Dad vs. Mom jeans

Of course, fits matter, and when it comes to high-waist or super high-waist jeans, then you need to decide between mom and dad fits – as weird as that sounds! For super high-waist ones, choose women’s jeans; otherwise, go for men’s jeans for a casual, relaxed fit. Also, you need to note which ones have buttons for a fly and which ones have a zipper, in case you have a preference.

Sizing

One of the most important factors when it comes to choosing jeans, vintage or otherwise, is sizing. The rule is not to get bogged down by vanity sizing but to pay attention to the actual measured sizes instead. Expect to size up a couple of sizes when shopping for vintage clothes, and that too, jeans.

If you’re into vintage clothes, then maybe you should also try vintage jewelry and accessories. How about the best Etsy old-fashioned glasses or maybe the best Etsy vintage clip-on earrings?

What brands of jeans are considered vintage?

While the list includes the likes of Wrangler, Gitano, etc., Levi’s 501 jeans are universally considered the gold standard of vintage jeans and look great on all body types.

Are vintage jeans better quality?

The main difference between newer jeans and a vintage pair is the overall denim quality. This includes the shape, thickness, and weight.

Should I wash vintage jeans?

Yes, but you should hand wash jeans in cold water as that’s the more gentle way to clean them.
