Alarm Range Extender

6

We begin with the ADT Alarm Range Extender, which is ideal if you have a large house or a complicated home design with lots of spaces that aren’t in a straight line. After all, one can never have enough security, right? The ADT alarm range extender helped extend our ADT security system’s communication range throughout our large, two-storeyed home. We loved all the features of this product: it was equipped with tamper detection, battery backup, and extended communication range. So, it not only extended the range between the detectors, sensors, and the base, but we’d also get alerts in the ADT+ app if someone tampered the device.

What’s more, the kit, which came with a user guide, mounting hardware, and the alarm range extender, requires the ADT+ app, ADT professional monitoring at USD 35/month, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Please note that this alarm range extender can only be used indoors and it requires the expertise and services of a technician and a professional.

Google Nest Cam

5

Who can go wrong with the Google Nest Cam? Requiring the Pro Monitoring plan that starts at USD 45/month, this camera allowed us to check in virtually anytime, and from anywhere, right on our smartphones. Not only could we easily install it ourselves, but we could also choose to have ADT pros install it as part of our ADT+ package. The plan that we chose for this required us to have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, the Google Home app to control and monitor the smart home security system, the ADT+ app, and the ADT Smart Home Hub.

There were many benefits of this camera, starting with the fact that it could easily and intelligently tell the difference between a human person, an animal, and a vehicle. What’s more, we could mounting it easily and flexibly, finding multiple options on the exterior of our home. Not only could it recognize frequent guests with familiar face alerts, but also we would get up to as many as 30 days of event video history , thanks to Nest Aware. So, we could actually play back the footage and check it later on. Wrapping things up were the fact that the camera came with AP54 water resistance as well as emergency video backup.

We’ve always wondered how to stay close to the panic alarm, especially when our house is so huge and we could be in any corner during an emergency? Behold Keypad, which allowed us to arm and disarm our ADT security or even send panic alarms from one single, easy-to-use and elegantly designed keypad. We could easily install this keypad ourselves or we could even call the ADT pros to come and install it for us. It required us to get the Pro Monitoring plan starting at USD 30/month, as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, the ADT+ app, and the ADT smart home hub.

The keypad is an integrated, backlit one, with touch buttons making it easy for us to use it. Secondly, the keypad has a proximity sensor, so it would turn on when we were nearby. Moreover, the eco-friendly design was elegant, while the multi-colored light ring showed us the system status quickly. All you need to remember is that it can only be used indoors, it came with an in-built alarm siren and speaker, and it can be mounted on the wall or on a surface.
