Glass Break Sensor

Prevent break-ins by ensuring that broken glass is detected every time with the Vivint Glass Break Sensor. This sensor helps our smart home hear any intruder breaking the glass even before we do. When we’re away from home, and the sensor detects any activity around the glass, the sensor sounds an alarm, and we receive alerts on the Vivint app. That allows us to view live security camera feeds and call for assistance, or turn on our smart lights and ensure that our home is indeed safe.

Not only that, but the glass sensor also offers more accurate alarms, a wider range of coverage, and 24/7 monitoring for ultimate protection. It complements the Vivint Door and Window Sensors on every entry point door and window, which ensures peace of mind. What’s more, the glass sensor has dual-shatter recognition and three sensitivity levels, too, ensuring that it doesn’t mistake an accident for an intruder. Besides integrating with our home security system, the sensor also pairs with the Vivint app and its other products, including Vivint 24/7 monitoring.

Kwikset Smart Locks

The Kwikset Smart Locks from Vivint are one of the best additions we made to our home security system. They not only offered security and convenience, but they also allowed us to unlock/lock our front doors remotely through the easy-to-use smart home app. What’s more, we could also deactivate/reset the codes from the app easily, ensuring peace of mind about only trusted individuals accessing our home. That was possible as we could create custom entry codes for everyone in our family, as well as other trusted people who required home access, such as pet sitters and house sitters. So, we no longer had to worry about making extra copies of our home keys, hiding them under flowerpots, or about someone losing them. The best bit? Our app received notifications whenever someone entered our home using their specific code.

Earlier, we would always be wondering whether or not we locked our front door when we left for vacation. To solve this problem, and everything else we mentioned earlier, we got the nifty Vivint Smart Locks from Kwikset.

Water Sensor

One of the biggest issues we face, even as urban residents, is water damage. 25% of homes sustain thousands of dollars in water damage annually, which is why we got ourselves reliable and smart flood protection in the form of Vivint’s Water Sensor. It protected our home 24/7 and helped us avoid expensive repairs by notifying us of standing water, leaks, and excess moisture before any major damage occurred.

There’s a lot more to water damage than people realize, such as pipes freezing and bursting, which leave our homes vulnerable to major flooding, mold, and leaks. That requires you to shut off water, and maybe even electricity, and requires you to call professional plumbers. The Vivint Water Sensor avoids all this, thanks to its pipe leak detector’s in-built temperature monitoring. It would alert us to extreme drops in temperatures, giving us enough time to act and prevent the pipes from freezing and bursting. Finally, the sensor has wireless connectivity, excellent battery power, and is compact.

Senior Alert Systems

With our parents staying away from us, we’ve always worried about their security, safety, and independence. However, Vivint’s Senior Alert System has been revolutionary in changing our parents’ lifestyles and providing us with much-needed peace of mind. Their Emergency Pendant is one versatile product which seniors can wear as a necklace or a bracelet, keeping help within reach. All they have to do is press a button in case of an emergency, whether it’s a personal emergency or a home emergency, and Vivint’s award-winning team will immediately connect with them for assistance.

We loved everything about this emergency alarm system. Firstly, it would alert the monitoring team with a silent alarm mode. Secondly, the pendant would stay connected to their panel up to 300 feet away. Thirdly, they could even place it as a wall mount, put it on their belt or money clips, attach it to a lanyard, or wear it on their wrists.

Security Spotlight

Move over traditional motion sensors; it’s Vivint Spotlight Pro to the rescue. If you’re not a fan of motion sensors, then this security spotlight is all you need to intelligently prevent crimes. This intuitive camera floodlight, which complements the Vivint Outdoor Camera Pro, changes dynamically based on what our outdoor cameras are seeing. Basically, it employs an upgraded image sensor and a new Computer Vision Chip, which intelligently detects, tracks, and lights up anyone lurking around your property. After detecting people on the property, it follows them with a spotlight, lighting up intensely if they linger for long.

If that wasn’t enough, when the light isn’t active and on duty, it switches to thoughtful, soft lighting that accentuates our home’s surroundings. So, whether we’re spending the evening playing games with our kiddos or with friends outdoors, the Spotlight Pro makes for the perfect backdrop.

Again, that’s not all! The Spotlight Pro even allows us to see our path in the dark with its “Smart Deter” feature. When it’s not keeping unwanted visitors away, its dormant form lights up our home surroundings elegantly, allowing us to walk around safely even in the dark. All in all, this light is smart and intelligent in every way, has a bevy of lighting behaviors, allows us to customize specific areas and zones in the house, and can be used easily and controlled fully with the Vivint app. Plus, it’s an additional light source!

Do Doorbell Cameras Decrease Crime?

Yes, doorbell cameras, much like outdoor security cameras, help us keep an eye on guests, delivery people, and anyone else who comes and goes from our home. Besides the fact that we could monitor it from the app, the cameras also have 24/7 professional backup monitoring.

How do I set up door lock codes?

Specific door lock codes are attached to specific users, just like the panel pins. So, you don’t need to program the door lock; all you need to do is edit the codes, and you can grant access from your app or online account.
